Programs

We offer free programs through the Mississauga Library to learn STEAM, Maker equipment, or crafting skills. Choose the right program for you, from beginner to intermediate to advanced levels and across children, teens, adults, and all-ages groups. Led by an experienced Makerspace staff, we will guide you through a project or technology to develop your maker skills.

3D Printer Introduction

Dive into the world of 3D printing. In our introductory class, you'll learn how to create in three dimension - including how a 3D printer works and how to print your very own design.

3D Design with TinkerCAD

Interested in 3D design or the world of digital fabrication? In this program, you'll learn how to craft 3D models using TinkerCAD, a user-friendly, web-based application where you can experiment with 3D design. Create and manipulate shapes, add colours, textures, or even basic animations to your creation.

3

Crafting with Cricut

The Cricut Maker is an incredibly versatile cutting machine that can be used for a wide range of crafting and DIY projects. In this program, we'll guide you on how to make paper cards, flowers, vinyl decals, and much more!

Sewing Machine Introduction

Join our introductory sewing class to learn the art of sewing using Singer sewing machines. We'll show you the basics of sewing from threading a needle to understanding essential stitches. With these skills, you'll be able to create your very own simple project like a bag, pouch, or pillowcase.
